Mission Statement
Divehards International,
a scuba diving training facility, focuses on safely learning the skills of scuba diving.
Mike & Brigette Nadler, owners of Divehards International, have been involved in diving for
years, and it is their philosophy of “safe diving makes for fun diving” that has insured the
success of this reputable dive facility. Mike has been diving since ’85, and certified as an
Instructor for the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) since 1987, while
Brigette was certified in 1989 and received her Instructor Certification in 2000. A staff of
Instructors, Divemasters, Assistant Instructors and Skin Diving Instructors to offer countless
years of knowledge, as well as their personal experiences, to enhance your underwater training,
joins them. Divehards specializes in taking care of the diver’s needs, and safely
guiding the diver through the different skills required to enjoy and explore the underwater world.
The Divehards International Team of Instructors and Divemasters are
qualified to teach a wide range of certifications from Scuba
Diver, the basic level of certification, through Instructor Training
Courses (ITC). Continuing Education
courses such as Advanced Diver, Night Diver, Computer Assisted Diving,
Multi-level Diving, Equipment Care & Maintenance, Diver Propulsion Vehicle
Operation, Wreck Diving, Deep Diver, Ice Diver, Cavern Diver, Reef Ecology and
U/W Photography among others courses that are taught year round.
Group instruction by the Divehards’
team of qualified instructors is taught at Carnegie Mellon University,
Community Collage of Allegheny County (North Side Campus), Club One of
Shadyside, Pittsburgh Athletic
Association, as well as independently at the Downtown Athletic Club and Olympic Swim Club of
Penn Hills. Private instruction can also be arranged to accommodate
the client’s schedule.
Divehards also caters
to the certified diver. We are a
full-service facility providing equipment sales, service and maintenance, equipment
rental, air fills and dive tour planning.
A Bauer air compressor and cascade storage system with an air capacity
of over 3,000 cubic feet is our newest acquisition.

are planned to international destinations throughout the year. During the local diving season, our team is
on the road with Divehards’ van and
trailer every weekend.
